I took my boys out to try out a location last night. It was so incredibly hot! You can see my boys are covered in sweat. But, they were great and let me take some pics. The light and the setting were gorgeous.

While my oldest son was at soccer camp this week…I took Luke to the UT Gardens to run around. He also let me take some pics while we there. Of course, I did have to bribe him with a candy bar. )

Last night we took my boys out along with my mother in law and a few other family members, for pictures. My boys absolutely love their Gramma. She’s great with them. I love how these pictures capture how she really interacts with them. She got them guitars for their birthdays. She gets down and plays and sings with them. I’m thankful they have grandparents like that. Here are just a few…more to come!

I just wanted to share this picture.  This is my Luke…I just can’t believe how old he looks here!  He will be four years old next month and I can hardly believe it!  He’s so sweet and sensitive…and at the same time, he’s the most wild, rambunctious and fearless kid I’ve met.  I just love him!

Around the House

I knew I would still have stuff to share with you during this time off. I’m still finishing up orders and designing cards, etc. During the past couple of weeks it’s been hitting me how old my boys are…they’re not babies or “little” boys anymore…they’re quickly turning into big boys…when I asked Ethan if I could take some pics of him he grabbed this blue hat and his teddy bear that we made for him while I was pregnant. Sometimes he still wants to be my baby…but, most of the time he wants to be independent and all grown up…he’s already worried about when he can drive for goodness’ sakes!! Anyways…I’m trying to capture their little boys sides while I can…Luke wasn’t up for it as you’ll see. )

Since I have had weekends off lately…we’ve been trying to do some hikes. A friend told me about Fall Creek Falls so we decided to go check it out. It was so beautiful and such fun! We got to enjoy the falls from the top and then hike down to the bottom.

From us

Well…it feels so weird…but, I’m all finished with shoots for this year! I’m ready for a much needed break…but, at the same time, I love having shoots and will miss it. I’m now booking for next year. I’ll be making some changes next year. I’ll be taking on less shoots. I’m still learning my limits and how to balance being a wife, mom to 2 CRAZY boys, homeschooling, and having a photography business. To be fair to my family and to keep my priorities in line I’ll only be taking on 1 or 2 shoots a month. So, if you are interested in a shoot, please don’t wait until the last minute. I’ve also changed my pricing structure…I’m trying to move to being more digital since that is what people seem to want.

Thank you to everyone who has let me a part of your family and allowed me to capture some very memorable moments for you! I pray that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year! I’m sure I’ll be posting some personal stuff between now and then…but, I’ll see you next year!
